Around Osoyoos: Partnering with Local Businesses to Serve You Better

One of the things we've always loved about Osoyoos is the sense of community. Whether you're a local heading out for an early morning ride, a visitor exploring the South Okanagan for the first time, there's something special about the way people and businesses come together here.

Sessions Outdoor Sports is continuing to grow, and as always, our focus has been to serve our community better.

That has meant moving into a more central location, expanding our involvement in local events, creating new partnerships throughout the region, and making it easier than ever for people to access the bikes, gear, services, and support they need to get outside and enjoy everything the South Okanagan has to offer.

We're excited about where things are heading, and we wanted to share some of the ways you'll be seeing Sessions around town this season.

Find Us Around the South Okanagan

Not every adventure starts at the bike shop.

Sometimes you're already out exploring, road-tripping through the region, camping for the weekend, or stopping for a coffee before hitting the trails. That's why we've been working on making Sessions more accessible, even when you're not standing inside our storefront.

This year we're excited to introduce our Tiny Bike Shops, small satellite locations stocked with some of the essentials riders need while they're on the road.

Whether you're visiting Oliver for a weekend getaway or planning a full cycling vacation, the Visitor Centre is often one of the first stops people make.

Our Tiny Bike Shop location carries helpful cycling essentials and accessories so you can spend less time searching for gear and more time enjoying your ride.

Need a few bike accessories? Some last-minute items before heading out? We're all set up in the Oliver Visitor Location to make sure you’re covered.

If you've never stopped at Rags, Relics & Rutabagas, you're missing out on one of the region's unique hidden gems. Known for great coffee, delicious treats, sandwiches, and plenty of character, it's become a favourite stop for travellers and cyclists passing through Rock Creek.

Now you'll also find a Sessions Tiny Bike Shop stocked with cycling essentials and accessories to help keep your adventure rolling.

It's all part of our goal to meet riders where they are and make accessing bike gear more convenient throughout the South Okanagan.

The Tiny Bike Shop at The Midway Hotel in Rock Creek

All set up at the Midway Hotel Tiny Bike Shop

Exploring the Kettle Valley Rail Trail this season? Be sure to stop by the Midway Hotel and check out our Tiny Bike Shop.

Whether you're riding a section of the KVR, touring through the Boundary region, or spending a few days exploring the area's trails and backroads, you'll find a selection of cycling essentials and accessories available right at the hotel.

It's one more way we're making it easier for riders to stay prepared, spend less time worrying about gear, and more time enjoying the ride.

Making Bike Rentals Easier Than Ever

We've also been building partnerships that help more people get on bikes without the hassle.

If you're planning a vacation, staying nearby, or simply looking for an easy way to rent a bike while you're in the area, Fun4Rent can help connect you with a Sessions rental bike.

The best part? You don't even need to come to the shop.

We offer bike delivery throughout the South Okanagan, making the rental process incredibly simple. Whether you're staying at a resort, campground, vacation rental, or private residence, we can often bring the bike directly to you. We've seen a huge increase in guests looking for convenient, flexible ways to explore the region, and bike delivery has quickly become one of our most popular services.

The South Okanagan offers some incredible riding opportunities, and we want getting on a bike to be the easiest part of your trip.

Building Community Through Bikes

Our Saturday Group Rides continue to be one of our favourite parts of the season.

Our Saturday rides are designed to be welcoming and beginner-friendly. Whether you're brand new to cycling, returning after a few years away, or simply looking for a fun group to ride with, we'd love to have you join us.

The goal is getting outside, building confidence, meeting fellow riders, and enjoying everything our region has to offer.

It's become one of the best ways for people to connect with the local cycling community. If you're interested in joining a ride, give the shop a call for current details and upcoming schedules.

Giving Back to the Community That Supports Us

One of the things that makes small businesses special is the ability to be actively involved in the communities they serve. As we've grown, we've made it a priority to support local events, organizations, and initiatives whenever we can.

That commitment extends beyond bikes.

Recently, Boone, our unofficial Director of Customer Relations, insisted that we volunteer technical support services at local Dynamic Race Events, including the Oliver Triathlon.

While Boone may not actually know how to tune a derailleur, he certainly knows how to attract attention, make new friends, and boost morale at community events. We had a great time supporting this event, and getting to visit with new and familiar faces.

Boone is always up for adventure!

Here's to Another Great Season

We're always reminded how fortunate we are to be part of this community. The businesses that collaborate rather than compete. The visitors who return year after year. The locals who support small business. The riders who show up for group rides, community events, and weekend adventures.

Everything we're building this season comes back to making it easier for people to get outside and enjoy the places we all love.

Whether you visit us in the shop, stop by one of our Tiny Bike Shops, rent a bike through one of our partners, join a Saturday ride, or simply stop in to say hello, we're excited to be part of your next adventure.

We'll see you out there.
